2018 has been a great year for SCRACS so far, but it looks set to only get better as we near the final stages of our second car storage unit build.

Today, it's time for another update (see video below), and as you'll see it really is starting to look like another fabulous temporary home for our customers' cars. Designed to fit around sixty vehicles and plenty of motorbikes, the new unit has reached the stage where it looks like... a car storage unit! Anyone who has undertaken a build of this kind will know how exciting it is as you watch the ground get cleared, diggers move in, steelwork rise and panels put in place. The birth of a building is often slow and painful, but because we have such a fantastic team working on our second car storage unit, we're lucky enough to watch it rise swiftly. At times, it has been simply stunning how fast the building has seemingly appeared from nowhere.

We take great pride in the storage service we offer. Right from the start, we didn't want it to be elitist or designed purely for supercars and race cars. That's why we continue to welcome a huge range of vehicles through our doors, and this second unit will provide even more space for weekend weapons, classics, rare finds, supercars or simply the family vehicle whose owners would much prefer had a safe home while they head off on holiday.

The build has reached the stage where most of the internal structure has been completed. As you'll have seen from previous blog posts, the upstairs section is now in place, and the roof fully intact. Two gaping holes indicate where the entrances will be and there's even a tantalising hole in the floor where the brilliant car lift will be installed.

So, what's next? Well, after a bit of tidying up inside, the ground work can begin outside, where concrete will be laid. This obviously depends very much on Mother Nature's plans, and with the summer having taken a bit of a turn, we've all got our fingers crossed for some settled weather to help us get that concrete down super-fast.
