Ok, so the weather has definitely turned over the last few days and it's finally starting to feel more like summer, but that wasn't before we were hit with some almighty storms in Northamptonshire.
Normally, this wouldn't be a problem (we're British, after all), but when they take place during the early build phase of our lovely new car storage unit, you can understand why we were a little fed up with Mother Nature!
Unabated, we continued, and thanks to the fantastic team that's helping build the new unit, we didn't let the weather get the better of us, dampen our spirits or impact the schedule. As you'll see from the latest progress photos below, the footings are really starting to come together (just ignore the puddles), and you can almost picture the building sitting there, waiting to be filled with cars.
The new unit will store up to 60 cars and is due to be completed later this year. We're making a few key design tweaks to help maximise storage, which will enable us to meet the demands of our increasingly satisfied customer base. It'll also benefit from the same extremely high level of security and comfort for the motors as our existing unit.
For now, it's just lots of diggers, mud, the odd splash of rain and the gradual opening of an exciting new space next to our existing storage unit. At the moment, we're happy to use our imagination and picture it sitting there finished, but the build is already a very satisfying, fun project nonetheless, and we can't wait to share more of it with you.
