Granted - the prospect of some rails being installed into a building may not feel particularly exciting when you first hear about it, but this news is very exciting indeed - we promise.

If you've ever visited our car storage unit in Northamptonshire, you'll probably have seen what these rails are all about in our first unit. Flanking a gaping hole in the floor on the second floor, they're obviously there to prevent anyone from inadvertently falling through, but they also act as a barrier around what we still believe is one of the coolest things about our car storage facility.

The lift!

And this isn't just any old lift; it's built specifically to transport cars of all shapes, sizes and weights up and down between the floors of our car storage facility. It's a thing of beauty (even if we say so ourselves) and no matter how many times we fire it up, the team is always mesmerised by the complex engineering and brilliant workmanship that goes into making it work. It glides effortlessly up and down and is virtually silent as it raises and lowers our customers' precious vehicles to and from the upper floor.

The car lift enables us to store over sixty vehicles in our new unit by giving easy, convenient access to a second floor. The team uses it to carefully manoeuvre cars in and out of the unit to maximise the use of space and ensure the cars that are due to be collected can be done so quickly, whenever their lucky owners return to be reunited with their pride and joy.

Those who have been following the progress of the second unit build will no doubt have been as impressed as we are with the swift progress. The team are incredibly efficient and we're so happy that it's now pretty much finished. In fact, we're already filling it with cars as we speak!
